the earliest light of the day | 最早的阳光下





















Holidays — Before my mom headed to work, we decided to make some French Toast Baguettes for breakfast and it was probably 7 to 8am. The sky was not fully lit up yet but there was hints of soft morning light. The ingredients used can be found in your kitchen so there is no excuse for not eating a proper breakfast.

However, whenever my school starts and work piles up, I can never find a time for even a bite of bread at home and I believe most of us are facing it everyday. Its not a must to have proper breakfast every single morning because in reality, who really have the time? But to compensate for the lack of time, maybe finding a day to settle down and have a peaceful morning is not that impossible. At least we have something to look forward to in the morning other than the mundane routines.

Setting aside an hour for this moment during a weekday can just be as enjoying as the weekends.

Lets not forget that weekdays are important to us too. 

French Toast Baguettes 

Ingredients
3 large eggs
1 cup half-and-half
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
8 slices of baguettes, sliced 1-inch thick
2 to 3 tablespoons butter

Directions
1. Whisk eggs, half-and-half, salt and sugar. Ensure eggs are fully incorporated.
2. Place pan over medium heat and then soak slices of Baguettes in mixture.
3. Once baguettes fully soaked, place a tbsp of butter in pan.
4. When the butter starts bubbling, fry a side of the soaked Baguettes.
5. Fry till both sides golden brown and serve with you favourite toppings.

假期 —在我妈妈上班之前,我们决定为早餐制作法国吐司面包,那时候大概是早晨的七八点。天空是还没被照亮,但厨房还是略有晨光。我们所使用的一些材料一定可以在厨房找到,因此没有理由不吃一顿适当的早餐。

然而,每当我开学和工作堆积起来的时候,甚至是咬口面包的时间都没有。我相信大多数人也时常面对这样的早晨。我们不可能每一天早上都个有适当的早餐,因为在现实中,谁有那么多时间? 但就是因为这样,我们更应该弥补时间的不足,找一天安顿下来,有个宁静的早晨。至少我们可以期待在早晨有个不平凡的例程。

其实啊,在工作日抽出一个小时来享受这一刻也可以像周末一样舒服。

别忘了,在我们生活里, 工作日也很重要。

法国吐司面包

材料
三颗 蛋
一杯 半对半
撮盐
一汤匙糖
八片法国面包
两到三汤匙牛油

做法
1. 将蛋,糖,盐与半对半一起搅拌。确保鸡蛋已充分纳入。
2. 用中火来预热煎锅,也同时把面包浸泡在混合物里。
3. 面包完全浸泡后,在煎锅里放一汤匙牛油。
4. 牛油开始产生泡泡,浸泡的面包放进煎锅,开始煎面包的一面。
5. 只要面包两面煎到金黄色,就可以享用了!
