九份
What seems as if from the outside was a peaceful and quiet district with not many people residing in it. But once you enter the street (known as 九份老街), it is bustling with people and basically tourists. Shop owners are roaring their prices and products to on-coming buyers, cups of tea and tea eggs are offered as street foods, souvenier shops lined with intricate district pieces. The crowd was so energetic and everyone was intrigued by the 'oldie' feeling that the buildings gave. There were lots of Japanese students learning about the history that their ancestors left behind and the cold winds pierce through your body like nobody's business. I wished I stayed there a little longer and lingered in the cafes to view the mountains.
