heritage surprise part 2

I have my keys at the gate. My mind is made up to make a quick escape.

School finally ended yesterday and having some mixed feelings about it. On the good side - there will be no more teachers, drama & waking-up-early days. On the other - I will not be seeing my friends for more than a month which sucks big time. Did quite a number of #yolo kind of things yesterday in school since it's the last day and I will definitely miss those peeps I see everyday.

Back to the usual. This time, Syafiqah & I embarked to the next part of the Heritage Surprise - Chinatown.
When we arrived there, I love the vibe the shophouses give off which makes us feel like we are back into the 60s 70s. Every shop sold cheap goods for tourist to buy and some chinese snacks!

Some local delights!

 Favourite shophouse design!

Found an alley and we kinda fell in love with the colours of the walls.

Sri Mariamman Temple

Buddha Relic Temple

A cloth provided for those wearing shorts or sleeveless people before entering the exhibitions.

Chinatown is a place filled with mordenity but with bits of heritage in it. Every street and lane brings back memories of the olden days and a sense of tranquil as well.
The heritage surprise shall end here by saying that heritage is something inherited back from the past, something we preserve till today. Let's not forget about them and bring it into the modern age of ours to inspire our daily lives.

Till then, cheers!
