And if you're still bleeding, you're the lucky ones. Cause most of our feelings, they are dead and they are gone - Youth, Daughter.
Okay back to the normal stuff. Its pretty overdue though. Last week, Syafiqah and I finally went down to heritage sites in Singapore - Little India & Chinatown. Somehow or rather, every corner is filled with tiny surprises of the different respective cultures in Singapore.
First stop : Little India - old world charms and mordernisation
Trained to Little India and the art imprinted of the wall of the MRT station already give us a head start of what we will be seeing in Little India.
Actually not really expecting anything new but there loads of small stalls selling household goods and food.
We were super hungry and craved for some Indian delicacies. We then entered a wet market and ate hawker food which is like da bomb.
Roti Prata and Indian Rojak.
Went upstairs as Syafiqah wanted to look at Saris and Little India have cheap and fine Sari. There are so MANY stalls selling them and I wonder how people choose where to buy from. What I took is only like 1/10 of the Sari sold there.
Headed to the Deepavali Bazaar. Warning : Hell lots of trinkets and decorations.
On the way to Tan Teng Niah!
Colourful windows!
(My favourite photo of Syafiqah)
Some phone snapshots.
Little India is somewhere you will find yourself surrounded with rich culture and colourful things. Try the authentic Indian food and let yourself drown into the vibrant life of Little India.
I shall end here and be back with the heritage surprise part 2 soon. Till then, cheers!
